I am a 26 year old male graduate with a BSc in Business IT from Sheffield Hallam University. I am currently on the Graduate Trainee Programme –ICT with the Robert Owen Consortium EBITT.
A colleague recommended the Robert Owen Consortium to me. I enjoyed the fact that the course involved a lot of on-the-job training. I started teaching from week one and very quickly I was teaching a 70% timetable. I also knew that I would get a lot of support from my mentors when I needed it.
Qualities required for this course included hard work and commitment. Throughout the course you have to develop a portfolio, complete assignments as well as plan and teach lessons in the school. I had a lot of support from the course team. My mentor in school was always on hand to offer support and guidance whenever I needed it. My generic and subject mentors were also always in touch and responded to queries quickly.
